Post delay....

I have some things to post. It's passed a while since my last post, but there was a pretty long period where I didn't have got a pc.

Three days ago - FINALLY - it's arrived the new one (A BRAND NEW MACBOOK PRO!!!) but it takes time to transfer all the data and setup all the applications I need.

I have also some pictures to post...

Much things to do, but I'll do :)

Duemilanove

Ultimamente ho trascurato il blog.....
Ci sono diverse "cose" pronte per essere scritte ma la vita reale ha
preso più tempo del previsto.

Ho organizzato il mio viaggio in italia per natale, poi mi sono venuti
a trovare un paio di amici canadesi.
In men che non si dica era Natale, poi un paio di uscite con gli
amici, capodanno in piazza a Udine e... È già ora di ripartire :S

Senza contare che ho venduto il portatile vecchio e quello nuovo è
ancora in qualche container su qualche nave tra la cina e qui.

Il 2008 è stato anno di cambiamenti. Forse tra i più grandi finora
capitati a me. Giusto per dirne due, una laurea completata e il
trasloco nella nuova casa, lontano lontano da "Casa"....
Ce ne sono altri senz'altro, anche - e forse soprattutto - che
riguardano persone.

Persone che sono entrate ed uscite, persone che già erano QUALCUNO ma
che ora lo sono di più. Su due piedi non mi viene in mente nessun
nuovo ingresso..... Uhm...... Si dovrà rimediare!

Quello che auguro a me stesso per quest'anno è una cosa molto
importante. Un desiderio che in parte è già stato realizzato. Ma non
preoccupatevi, che anche se questo sarà compiuto continueró a
sognare :)

Domani si torna a Leuven e lunedì.... DRIIIIIN! Sveglia! È ora di
andare a lavorare. Sob :(

Auguri e ringraziamenti

Qusto vuole essere un post semplice semplice per augurare a tutti delle feste serene.
Ci sono dei momenti in cui è "necessario" far baldoria e scatenarsi. Ma ci sono anche momenti in cui si preferisce un po' di tranquillità, di pace, di stare con sè stessi...
Questo, per me, è uno di questi momenti. Perciò nessuna grande festa, nessun clamore, nessun grande cenone con amici e parenti tutti.
Un po' di serenità è quello che più desidero ora :)


A special "THANK YOU" to my best international friend Brennan and his friend Graham. They come to my place for a couple of days. They made my Xmas holidays :)

So amazing see a dear friend after two years.... and have the sensation that it's passed only two weeks since the last time we saw each other.

Thank you Brennan for the best ever (wish) card I received. You made me so happy...

All the best to everyone for 2009! And personally, I wish to myself that this will be the year of the turning-point.

The world is VERY little

It's amazing... Simply AMAZING!
Today I was attending a (very boring) training course at IMEC. We were in a dozen, more or less. Mostly chinese/Japanese/indians/... and two other guys "european style".
At the end of the meeting I heard them talking in italian... a nice surprise but not so difficult find italian people abroad.
Then we started to talk about where we come from and stuff like that....
Well, the guy come from Milan (and I discovered that we'll play poker together tonight), nothing in particular..
*BUT*
the girl... she just started her PhD (one week ago). The AMAZING thing is that she come from Udine!!!! My home town!!!
Actually from the other side of the town but that's still ok. It's a small town...
Even surprising she was born in the same year and in the same month of myself!!!!

A very nice coincidence :)
